For example if you live in VA and go to school in NY, and use your university’s student health insurance, will it cover you if you go back to VA for spring/summer breaks?

My college’s health insurance is more of a sickness/accident plan than anything else. (I had it this past eyar and it’s pretty much worthless out of campus). Do you think there is anything I could find (with actual coverage) for the cost of that accident plan ($700/year).
